Coffee can be a long working session’s best companion. And if you want to enjoy it in Paris then you’re in luck; there are plenty of places with good wifi, power outlets and lots of caffeine on tap. We pick some of the best places to set up your laptop.

Hubsy is a perfect workspace, located centrally in the 3rd arrondissement; its large windows bathe the space in light and overlook the lovely Musée des Arts et Métiers. Visitors are charged by the hour (it gets cheaper the longer you stay), during which they have access to unlimited hot drinks and snacks, fast wifi, a multitude of power outlets, and even latte art. The service is the friendliest you’ll find in Paris, and the owners make a point to stay on a first-name basis with all their regulars.

L’Anticafé is a hybrid space where co-working meets drinking, snacking and even playing board games. You get charged for the time spent here, with free coffee thrown in, and that’s about it. The spirit of this place is all in the name; l’Anticafé wants you to feel at home while making connections with other people.

Les Petites Gouttes is a cool spot with a restaurant, free wifi and coffee. It also hosts exhibitions and turns into a lively music venue at night. Located in the up-and-coming eco-friendly neighborhood Halle Pajol, Les Petites Gouttes makes a great oasis of calm in between the hectic crowds of Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est. For some American street food, check out Deli Drop, a partner concept store on the same street.

Café Lomi is the place for top-notch coffee in the city. Located in the 18th arrondissement, this café hosts a team of skilled roasters as well as a roasting school (and online shop). These are some of the best baristas in the country: two of them are recent French champions in Latte Art and Coffee in Good Spirits, an innovative recipes championship. The free and fast wifi is another bonus.

Café CRAFT is a lovely coffee shop that serves as a temporary office for mobile workers.
Plugs, wifi, coffee, elegant design; everything you need to make your day of work more pleasant is here, as well as a friendly and industrious atmosphere. The coffee is strong and on sunny days, you can walk two steps outside and have lunch on Canal St. Martin.

The original Coworkshop opened in June 2014, followed recently by a sibling space on the same street. In typical co-working spirit, they offer two deals: ‘residents’ can rent a space (with a set desk) by the month, or ‘nomads’ can float freely and engage by the hour. The meeting room will let you talk, and the awesome vintage phone cabin nearby is amazingly soundproof. But you might be more chatty after hours grabbing drinks with other nomad workers at the social events organized by the Coworkshop team. This workspace is also a block away from Canal St. Martin.
